Our Story

Nigeria is home to the largest population of young people in Africa. However, many of these young people face significant challenges, including poverty, lack of access to quality education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. As a result, many young people are unable to reach their full potential.

ASSW was founded in 2017 in response to the growing challenges faced by students in Nigeria. These challenges include poverty, lack of access to quality education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. ASSW is committed to bridging these gaps and ensuring that all students in Nigeria have the opportunity to succeed. ASSW was founded to address these challenges and help students achieve their full potential. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.

ASSW is a student-led organization. We have a team of student volunteers who work to implement our programs and services. We also work closely with universities and schools across Nigeria to identify students in need and provide them with the support they need

Founder

I am Victor Adetolaju, the founder of the Association for Students Social Welfare (ASSW) in Abuja, Nigeria. ASSW is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of students in Nigeria by providing access to resources, support services, and opportunities that promote their overall well-being.

I was inspired to start ASSW because of my own experiences as a student. I grew up in a poor family and had to struggle to pay for my education. I also saw many of my classmates drop out of school because they couldn’t afford it. I realized that there was a need for an organization that could provide support and resources to students in need.

Our Target

ASSW’s target population is students in Nigeria, particularly those who are struggling financially or academically. We also work with students who are facing other challenges, such as discrimination, abuse, and exploitation.

Our Vision

ASSW’s vision is to create a Nigeria where all students have access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities for career development and community service.
